Hi There! My name is Mollie Thomas. I’m originally from the east coast, growing up part time in Manhattan, and part time on a horse farm in Pennsylvania. I have had the privilege of calling myself a Californian for two years now. And, like a good Cali girl, I got myself involved in the Miss California USA pageant, running as one of the first openly lesbian women in the history of the pageant. My whole life I have been involved in the arts; I started dance lessons when I was three and continued them for many years, was a theatre nerd at every opportunity, and have spent countless hours modeling for everyone from my mother to very respected fashion photographers... In addition to living a very “artsy” life, I have had the opportunity to travel all over the world, both for fun, as well as for volunteer work. Due to all of my traveling I have picked up a fun collection of random skills, such as, elephant riding, dogsledding, skiing, surfing, and scuba diving.

Quote from GO MAGAZINE’s ‘100 Women We Love’

"Mollie Thomas is not your average young woman. She is the first openly gay woman to for Miss California USA, not to mention in all of pageant history. Running for Miss California USA has granted Miss Thomas with the platform to speak out and stand up for the entire LGBTQ community. She is also the founder of #TeamEquality, a not for profit mission to combat stereotypes and promote acceptance and tolerance through positive visibility in Mainstream media. Speaking of which, her #TeamEquality PSA “Everyone Deserves Love,” shot and directed by Jen Rosenstein has over 31k hits on YouTube without any advertisement in just a few months. From growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania to traveling the world she has experienced life comparable to that of many twice her age. "
